Sustainability

Sustainability is a commitment, not a catchphrase. Since 2021, we've targeted vehicle emissions, building waste, and construction methods. Our approach focuses on creating real impact today while shaping a better future for our team, clients, and communities

Why We're Taking Action

Our values – Continuity, Contribution, Integrity, Safety and Wellbeing, and Family – guide every decision we make. Inspired by those before us, we believe the ideals of our past shape a sustainable future. Understanding our carbon footprint is a critical step in reducing our impact. Our focus is on tackling key emission hotspots: fuel use and construction waste. These areas matter most to our operations and the communities we serve.

Our Targets

Our long term goal is to reduce absolute emissions by 42% by 2035. This amibitious target aligns with the Science Based Targets.

Reduction Performance

In 2024-2025, absolute emissions increased slightly, while emissions intensity decreased by 0.28%, compared to the base year (1 Nov 2022 – 31 Oct 2023.)

This shows progress in efficiency despite operational growth. We are prioritising reductions in waste and fuel, supported by robust data and clear action plans. We are already starting to see reductions associated with stationary combustion. There has been an increase in business travel emissions due to prioritising face-to-face communication with clients and our community.
