We are pleased to announce that Bridget Legnavksy was recently appointed to our Board as an Independent Director.
It was fantastic to have Bridget join us as our first female Director, with her initial board meeting suitably taking place on International Women’s Day.
Originally from an aviation family at Lake Tekapo, Bridget has a background in tourism, having worked as General Manager at Cardrona Alpine Resort, amongst other roles.
Bridget’s background is in skiing. She has worked on the large infrastructure development of ski fields including a childcare centre built by Breen Construction. Her son Gus recently represented NZ at the Winter Olympics and just won the free ski halfpipe junior world title in Switzerland!
Bridget currently works for RealNZ as Chief Experience Officer, focusing on the delivery of tourism experiences southern NZ, including skiing. At RealNZ she has worked on master planning, the capital development programme, and on growing experiences.
Bridget is Chair of the Climate Reference group for the QLDC. This group advises council on its climate action plan. She is connected with MBIE as a member of the Otago Regional Skills Leadership Group representing the needs of all industry (Including construction) at a national government level.
We are excited to work with Bridget as she has great regional connections and a wealth of experience in two of our current areas of focus; Sustainability, and People & Culture.
