The Boys Passed their Inspection! (Dunstan TradeBase)

A Milestone Worth Celebrating: Dunstan Students Pass Their Framing and Truss Inspection
There’s a moment on every build when the skeleton of a structure stands tall and someone with a clipboard gives the nod. That moment just happened for the TradeBase students at Dunstan High School and it’s worth celebrating.

Today the team officially passed their framing and truss inspection, clearing the way for the roof to go on. For anyone who’s worked in construction, you know this isn’t just another tick on a checklist. It’s a critical milestone in the building process.

Why This Inspection Matters
Framing is the backbone of any building. Every wall, every load path, every opening for doors and windows, it all has to be right. When an inspector signs off on framing and trusses, they’re confirming that the structure is sound, that it meets code, and that everything from this point forward has a solid foundation to build on. This inspection is the the industry’s way of saying: this building is ready for the next stage. For qualified builders with years of experience, passing a framing inspection is expected. For a group of secondary school students building a 69m2 transportable building for the first time – it’s exceptional.

What Comes Next
With framing signed off and trusses in place, the roof is next –  and with it, the build starts to take real shape. While we will be celebrating the inspection path, we’re also aiming for a student friendly roof shout later in the month.

Congratulations to the Dunstan TradeBase crew. You’ve just cleared one of the toughest hurdles in the build – and you did it together.
