Architecturally significant buildings rarely come with straightforward solutions. Matching original materials and finishes while incorporating modern engineering details requires careful planning, collaboration and practical problem-solving.
For this insurance repair at Rippon Vineyard’s original owners’ residence, the brief was to restore a damaged mudbrick veneer garage wall to match the original wall finish. Just as importantly, the team needed to complete the work without damaging the established vines growing across the wall.
The project involved installing new engineering details around the garage lintels and wall supports, while specialist trades worked together to replicate the existing mudbrick veneer and achieve the required architectural finish.
By working closely with specialist suppliers, the team delivered a seamless repair that matched the original wall while incorporating the required engineering upgrades. The client was delighted with the finished result, particularly that the repair blended seamlessly with the existing home and the established vines were preserved.
